What is the most reliable way or website to get a background check as a civilian in Texas?

In a few weeks I am applying for a Government job which requires a thorough background check.

There are alot of websites that offer background checks, but I don’t know if any of them are reliable and which are the best at finding everything possible.

If anyone has any personal knowledge of background checks in Texas and can help at all I would appreciate it.

    Are you doing a background check on yourself? That would seem kind of silly, who better than you would know if there was anything in your background?
