How extensive is the background check for corrections officers in New Mexico?

Is it as thorough as the ones for police officers? I went through a background check to become a dispatcher and passed, shoulld I be okay? I have never been convicted of anything, and have a clean driving record. What can I expect during this phase of the application process.
