If a cop runs a background check on someone, what information will show up? Address, phone numbers, work history? I don’t know any information other than it is a background check done by a cop- anyone know what all will show up?

How does an education background check work?

I am up for a position and they are in the process of running different background checks on me. The one that concerns me is the education background check.

I am exactly one class shy of earning the BS degree that I claimed on my CV. I walked during graduation and everything, but I never got the *incomplete* for that class cleared up and, hence, never completely fulfilled my graduation requirements.

In an education background check, do companies verify that you have the degree or just that you attended the university during the dates you claimed?

How long does it take to run a background check for employment?

How long does it take to run a background check before they’d call to set up an interview if i were to get that far? or would they not do one until i was given an interview? On the application it stated i gave consent for them to check my background for employment purposes.

Has anyone found a site that actually gives a free background check? Or does anyone know what the employer definately will see? Or what it is they are looking for? I see Comcast says background check and drug screening, what are they looking for when doing the background check?

How long does it take to hear from them during back ground check? It’s been 4 months! Could it be my background is primarily from another state? I moved to this location and only lived here for a few months at the time of interview. Is it going to take longer because of that? What do they look for in this step?
